Nailed it. "Pinning down the butterfly" is like when I explain my experiences to dogma and doctrine. I always feel so empty when trying to "break it down, name, and label my profound experiences" in order to meet the expectations of dogma. In trying to name "it", I diminish the intimacy of that experience and devalue it in attempts to meet the expectations of dogma, doctrine and false certainty. "I will never fit in your doctrine and systematic theology". SPOT ON, thank you Rob.
The Devine being saying "I'll never fit" all you get is my hindparts (a wisp of a wind, that you know only in the moment).
Love is never ending but is not of form.
7 years ago, lost my son of 27 years. A musician who lived in the moment and said "Life is a song, and Love is the music". I thank God every day he was a part of my life, his understanding of the divine led me here, now, listening to you Rob.
Thank you!
