As I listen to this interview, I am wondering what would happen if journalists were trained on the necessary rhythm of talking with people who were just traumatized. Helping them to go back and forth between safety and laughter and tears and other parasympathetic response and then more of their story. As a pastor, I have found this so helpful for people telling their story.
